We're a small, bootstrapped team building the tools we wish we had.

Solving Work

Lane started with a simple frustration: work is scattered. Tasks live in one tool, conversations in another, updates get lost in email threads, and context disappears between meetings. We spent years working in teams where the biggest obstacle wasn't the work itself — it was keeping everyone on the same page.

So we decided to build something about it. No venture capital, no outside pressure — just a small team putting our own time and money into a product we believed in. We bootstrapped Lane from day one because we wanted the freedom to build it right, not fast.

The idea was straightforward: bring tasks, communication, and project visibility into one place. Not by stitching together a dozen half-baked features, but by designing them to work together from the ground up. When a message can reference a task, and a timeline reflects real progress, teams stop wasting time syncing and start doing the work that matters.

We're still a small team, and we like it that way. Every feature ships because we've felt the problem ourselves. Lane isn't trying to be everything to everyone — it's built for teams who want clarity without complexity, and momentum without the overhead.
